Dental van commissioning

Commissioning the Mobile Dental Clinic at Essau on the north bank of the River Gambia. The generous Kombo Beach Hotel financed a dentist, two nurses and a driver. The hotel also paid for all the drugs, supplies, instruments, fuel and maintenance needed to operate the clinic.

The Mobile Dental Clinic was a modern fully equipped unit which brought free dental treatment to the rural areas of Gambia for the first time.

One of the first patients of the Mobile Dental Clinic. The unit was in huge demand and was successful in treating thousands of patients up and down the country.

Best nurse awards, Gambia

The Best Nurse Awards. Each department selected, by popular vote, the nurse who contributed most in terms of diligence, enthusiasm, professionalism, patient care and punctuality. The successful nurse received a Trinity nurses watch. The most outstanding nurse won a gold fob watch.
