The exuberance of Holi as families gather to shower each other with coloured powder and water.
Everone joins in the fun. Huge amounts of colour are splashed everywhere and on everyone.

One of the icons of British India, built to commemorate the visit of King George V but not actually completed until years later. It was intended to be the symbolic entry portal for passengers arriving from cruise ships from Britain. Ironically it was from here that the last British troops embarked on ships as they left India
We chatted to these friendly students as we strolled around the Hanging Gardens. From this vantage point the views of Chowpatty Beach were magnificent.
Victoria Terminus the huge Gothic Railway Station in the heart of Mumbai. This is one of the many long distance and local railway stations that serve the 30 million inhabitants of Mumbai.
The imposing headquarters of the Bombay Municipal Corporation next to the Victoria Terminus. When we were there there was a protest by Disabled Peoples organisations who feared loosing their monopoly to sell lottery tickets on the street.
There are many fine old buildings in Mumbai, including the law courts. This covered market, on the right, is interesting because the frieze panels were designed by the father of Rudyard Kipling whilst he was head of the Bombay School of Art.
