Melaka Pictures
Posted by: | CommentsOur appartment block in Melaka. We enjoy the swimming pool which we have almost to ourselves during the week. From our 14th floor balcony we have great views for the ships steaming up the Straits of Melaka.

Posted by: | CommentsThe Chayamangkalaram Thai Budhist Temple has a 33 metre long recling Buddha.
The Chinese quarter is a wonderful mix of chinese teples, old chinese association buildings and pastel painted shop houses.
The imposing Dewan Undangan Negeri or State Legislative Building. Next to this the Dewan Bandaran or Town Hall. These grand old colonial buildings are still here on the waterfront but their functions have been taken over by offices in the monsterous concrete tower of the new Komplex Tun Abdul Raazak or KOMTAR Building.
Cameron Highlands
Posted by: | CommentsTea plants on the rolling hills of the Cameron Highlands. The tea bushes are regularly cut back to waist height to make the leaves easier to pick and to encourage the growth of new leaves.
Chinda shows Margaret a pitcher plant. Insects are attracted to the flower and then slip inside and are trapped in the liquid in the plant. They are then digested by the plant. Margaret admiring the sights and sounds of the mossy jungle.
