Abdullah is a young apprentice in the main Brikama craft market. Roughly shaped items are made in the villages up country and are finished off here. Many of the items sold here are also made in small specialised workshps in Serrekunda

This is the only teachers training college in The Gambia.  School leavers can work as untrained teachers. If they are successful they may come here as students after a couple of years.
